I a really dumb question for you guys that have install Windows 98 on VM or Parallels (More on VM since it supports games! LOL)

My problem is that when I go to install Windows 98SE (Full version). It is really slow to install. I have never went though the full install because of the time it takes to copy the files of the CD. I did run it for an hour, and the install only reached like 30%.

I have a MacMini Solo 1.5 with 1gig of ram. Just as a side note, I do not have this problem installing Windows XP Pro though. That installs fast as it would if I was installing it on a real computer.

Any why Windows 98SE is being so slow?

Thanks!

Hugh

VMWare only supports gfx acceleration on win XP SP2.

No idea why win 98 is installing so slow though, probably doesn't like the "hardware" you are installing it on (that is the emulated environment is probably so differnet from the hardware 98 would have really insrtalled on back in the day).
