Paltalk express is a beta version. You are not comparing like for like.

There are lots of programs ported for the Mac that run like crap. Perhaps like Adobe Flash, Paltalk for the Mac clobbers the CPU (more than the Windows version), which generates heat, which causes the fan to come on?

So do you blame OS X for Adobe doing a crappy port of their app, or Adobe? Or Paltalk, if that's the same situation?

Is there even an OS X version of Paltalk outside of the Flash based browser Express one? That would explain a lot.
