I am trying to get my MacBook Pro to join a windows domain at work. Any idea on how I can do this?

I work in a Windows environment at work, apart from logging into Exchange though I don't join the domain as such, individual drives etc are mapped as individual servers/services on my Mac. My account login is a local MBP account for instance, not a windows domain type thing.
Had Lync for a while, that all worked too as a standalone app talking to the Lync server for instance.
