Hello,

Reluctantly I have to install windows on my macbook pro. Does anyone know if this is possible through a windows download rather than by buying the disks? If so any tips on how to do that would be amazing.

Thanks!

You can legally download the ISO files from places like Amazon, MSDN, and DigitalRiver. But you'll still have to burn them to a disc before you can install them.

I installed Win 7 Pro on my 2011 MBA using just the ISO. I had the ISO on one flash drive and a blank flash drive in the other USB port. Boot Camp Assistant took everything from there.

Your mileage may vary. Not all Macs can boot from all flash drives so you can't always get away with this.
