I have an electronic device which can only be updated using a windows PC bit of software. I own a macbook so I just need a way to install this software so I can then plug the device into my USB and let it update. I don't want to faff around with installing a huge copy of windows on my machine as its just a one time use.

Can anyone recommend a way to achieve this please?

Thank!

Depending on what the Windows software is, it might be possible to use WINE or CrossOver. Neither require installing Windows. Take note that if you're currently running Catalina and the Windows software is 32 bit, WINE will not work. CrossOver can run some Windows 32 bit programs from Catalina. CrossOver is not free but I believe it has a trial.
