I have a 60G video ipod that has been formatted for windows. I have windows XP pro at the office running itunes 7.When I first introduced the ipod to itunes after the upgrade it very slowly mounted into itunes and asked if I wanted to update the ipod. When I attempt this it pops up a “progress” bar, The ipod un-mounts, and nothing happens. I have to force quit itunes and when I restart itunes I can no longer mount the ipod within the program any more. If I repair itunes I can mount the ipod only if I avoid the upgrade of the ipod.

I have un-installed and re-installed itunes. Both 7.0.0 and 7.0.1
Yes I have turned off virus protection on install.
Has anyone successfully upgraded their windows formatted 60g video ipod. What steps did you have to take?
