Windows gaming issues on Mac Pro

Hi, I play a lot of games on my Windows XP HD. A lot of times I will be playing and it will randomly either freeze, or my computer will restart (usually both). I don't know what the problem is. I doubt it's a matter of power- my computer can easily run games in OS X with no problem.
One other minor problem incase there are any Doom players out there. In Doom 3 (also within XP), every time I change the resolution settings in-game, the game restarts to adjust the new settings but the resolution isn't changed.???
I haven't seen these problems anywhere, but help would be appreciated.

Just speculation, but it might have something to do with your graphics drivers. Do you use the drivers on the "Apple drivers for Windows" disc or the latest catalyst drivers? Try downloading the latest drivers from http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html . Otherwise, maybe your screen doesn't support the resolution you are changing too.
