I just recently bought a mac book, and I love it. I bought an OEM copy of windows XP home edition with SP2 and i installed it using boot camp successfully. I then tried to update windows media player and it told me that my copy of windows is not genuine. When i go to to the microsoft site to confirm that my product key is valid and that it isn't pirated, it says that the key doesnt match my machines key. The key that it gives for my machine isn't even close so it's not like i had a typo. Please help. How do I fix this? thanks

Call to have it activated. You could call in an illegal serial key and they would still probably activate it...

Anyway, calling them is what I would try, just answer the question correctly. The question I'm referring to is "Are you installing this on just one machine? (yes...)". They might ask other dumb questions, like if it's legal or not...
