I got my MBP Early 2008 back from Apple last week for reapirs. Looks like they replaced the following:
Logic Board
-Graphics Processor Issue on MLB
Optical SuperDrive
-Won't accept media
HDD
-Read/Write Issue
I only checked it in cause I was told over the phone my logic board prolly died when the screen went out on me one day. They ended up fixing my optical drive and HDD too. Thankfully I have AppleCare.
Anyways, that's the background. I am trying to install Windows 7 64 Bit through Boot Camp as I always have in the past. Except I am getting this instead of it installing like normal.
It just hangs there forever. For a normal install, that screen shows up for a second then flashes to Windows install. I properly setup the partition through boot camp, etc. I believe.
I used that Windows 7 64 Bit CD just yesterday to reformat my desktop.
I watched a DVD with the optical drive and installed all my Apple software just fine through CD.
I tried installing Windows Vista 32 Bit and Windows XP Pro w/ SP2, just for kicks, and that also hanged at the same screen.
I am starting to think since they gave me a brand new HDD there is something not formatted correctly. Attaching the pictures from my Disk Utility below.
Mac HDD (as a whole): Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)
Mac Partition: Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)
BootCamp Partition: MS-DOS (Fat)
I do have the option to change BootCamp Partition to ExFat as well.
Other info:
I used Boot Camp Assistant to setup the partitions and everything, nothing failed. It looks appropriate.
The Windows CD's do show up on my mac.
Any ideas? I am hoping it's something dumb because I really don't want to have to send it off again.
EDIT: Found the fix on a few pages back from this thread.

A few users suggesting reseting the PRAM and NVRAM.
Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
Your computer's PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models.
This worked like a charm!!!!Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate installed without a hitch, as usual! Wrote down a note about this one.
