(If this should be in a different area, please let me know and I wil move it)
I'm trying to get WIndows 10 going on my 5,1 so that I can play a couple of games that are coming out for PC since I don't think the PS5 exists on this planet
Anyway, I have an SSD in the optical bay with Mojave on it, and that's the drive that has OpenCore, I wanted HW acceleration mostly. Bays 1 and 2 are data, bay 3 is the target drive, an Apple-branded 500GB platter drive probably from when I switched my old laptop to SSD. I am trying to make use of things I have laying around, as it's the holidays and y'know.
I have a flashed Sapphire 580 8GB. Dual-processor, 12 core, 64GRAM.
I have Windows on a USB as I have read that you can do that with OpenCore and it protects the BootROM I made it on a Win 10 machine with the Windows Media Creation Tool on a native Win10 machine (not a VM.) SATA
Took both data drives out, booted into USB from the OC bootpicker. Clicky clicky where do you want to install? Tell it to erase all partitons on the target drive so it is unallocated space. Tell it to install. It does. It tried to reboot and just sits and hangs at the blue Windows logo, no hard drive activity, no animations. Reboot a few times. Same thing. Boots back into Mojave just fine.
I've looked at a zillion guides, and I can't seem to figure out what I am missing? I think it's something to do with how the drive is formatted vs. what the Windows installer is doing to it? When I look at the drive in Disk Utility on the Mac side, it says that the disk itself is "SATA Internal Physical Disk - GUID Parition Map" and then the Volume is "SATA Internal Physical Volume - Windows NT File System (NTFS)
What am I missing here? I feel like it is a very small thing.
TIA <3
