Hey.

I am trying to install windows on my 2010 macbook pro via bootcamp. We did not acquire a windows installaton disk when my family bought our windows machine. Would it be possible to use my uncles windows installation disk (already used) to install windows?. Sorry, I am new to the world of mac (but loving it!) Thanks.

you need a legit serial key

If you are trying to install an OEM copy (one that came with a windows computer), it'll simply refuse to activate, because often the OEM version will be locked to only work on specific hardware (e.g a Dell). You need to purchase a retail version of Windows from a shop or from somewhere like amazon
