Windows is low on memory error

Hi guys,

When bootcamped into Windows 8 (8.1 64-bit) and trying to play games it keeps popping up with the message "Windows is low on memory" I've tried Googling around and asking others but to no avail I can't find a fix.

On my previous mac (a late 2011 13") I had the exact same amount of ram (8gb) and had no issues.

I've currently got a late 2013 15" rMBP Quad Core i7 @ 2.00GHz with 8gb ram.

I'm not too sure what's happening as it keeps popping up, would it help installing Windows onto another drive (external) and running Windows from there? Or would this not effect anything?

Yeah, I've tried changing settings from guides I've watched / read but that didn't seem to effect anything :/
