Ok this is fairly complicated so bear with me. I've got an 8GB 1st gen iPhone which I've jailbroken at v2.1 using Quickpwn on a Windows XP laptop. I recently bought a MBP Late 2008, and I want to use the iPhone on the Mac, as well as jailbreaking it to v2.2.
My main question here is, will I lose all my texts, contacts, photos, apps etc if I change from a PC to a Mac with the iPhone, and how easy is it to jailbreak on a Mac.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers, Tom

When you sync all of your data, it is saved on your computer. If you update it on another computer when you sync to that one you will lose everything. All you would have to do is sync back to your Windows XP and get all your data back.

Anyways, this thread belongs in the Hacks section. You will get more answers from their:)

Cheers for your help.

Is there any chance a Mod can move this to the correct section? Sorry, I'm new to the forum.
