Windows keyboard function keys.

I recently bought a mechanical keyboard (windows) to use with my 2009 macbook pro and a new monitor. The keys work fine, and I love the keyboard. But I cannot find any way or any program that will allow me to set the function keys on the keyboard to have functions the same or similar to those on the apple keyboards. Do any of you guys know how to set the function keys to perform real functions, and not just sit there uselessly?
