I wasn't really sure where to post this, especially on a sight about Macs, but I did my best. Just a simple question:

Where do recorded TV files get sent to on the hard drive? And, is it possible to change where they are sent?

You can set the drive where WMC stores your TV shows through Settings > TV > Recorder > Recorder Storage. (I'm assuming you're using WMC 2005 Rollup 2.) The folder it creates is called Recorded TV.

I checked into recorder storage, and no where is there an option to set where the files are sent to. I think I may actually be running WMC 2003, although that would be odd since i just bought a new XPS 400. Is there a way to upgrade?

If you just bought the machine new from Dell, it should have WMC 2005 on it... check the About screen to make sure what you have. If it's pre-2005, contact Dell to see about getting an upgrade. Sony let me upgrade my WMC 2003 machine to WMC 2005 for $20.
