Windows Media Player in Tiger

Is anyone else having problems with windows media player in Tiger. After i upgraded it would crash everytime i opened it, but it would play the second time. Then it crashed completely so i deleted it and tried to reinstall it. But the installer always freezes. Any suggestions?

It seems to work the same for me as it did with 10.3.9.

You might try digging through the library folders with spotlight to get rid of plists and so on associated with WMP, and then do the re-install...I suspect one of those files is corrupt. Make sure you get rid of the three plugin files it puts in /library/internet plug-ins/ ... there are two: "DRM plugin.bundle" and "Windows Media Plugin."
