This has been happening since before Ventura, but on my 14" MBP, most of the time (but not ALL of the time), when I walk away for a while and the Mac's screen goes off, when I return, any windows that were on the external display have relocated back to the Mac's display. This didn't used to happen; as I seem to recall, it's been going on since I switched to M-series Macs a year or so ago. I just haven't used an external display enough to get irritated enough by it to post. Now I'm annoyed enough. 
Is there a fix for this or do we add it to the long list of small but annoying bugs that Apple will likely never fix?
