I've noticed the past few weeks that whenever I launch an app in MacOS, the application opens but the window does not appear. I have to go to my dock and select the application for the window to show up on the screen. It's almost like every app is opening minimized or something. Is there a setting or something I can test to see why this is happening - it's super annoying.

It even happens with he Settings app in MacOS. I click on the settings app in the docker and nothing happens except I now see the app is in fact running and I have to select it again by clicking it on the dock or using ALT-TAB to scroll over to the app so that the window appears.

I had something like that happen before. I wish I knew how to help you because I really do not know how I solved it. Maybe I just put up with it for a while until something happened, maybe the next system update fixed it. I really do not remember how did it go away, I hope someone else can help.
