Ummmm...this isn't a windows forum...this is a mac forum and a lot of people here aren't exactly windows fans....
That's what you get for being a windows user ;)
Switch to a mac...you wouldn't have to worry about that kind of thing...

My thoughts exactly. Unless you're lucky enough to have a Windows user read these posts and have the knowledge to reply to your post, you probably won't get many answers here. And like übergeek says, switch to a Mac, then you won't have to worry about this stuff. Otherwise, I'm sure you can find some more Satan-friendly--erm, I mean PC-friendly ;) --forums to answer your question. I hope that wasn't too rude...lol...I wasn't trying to be rude.

Well excuse me for being a Windows user who just happens to primarally browse the forums with XP.

I don't know anything about language kits for ME, but if you buy an XP upgrade disc you can either do an OS upgrade (NOT RECOMMENDED) or wipe the drive and use the XP upgrade disc to do a reinstall but you must have the origional ME disc (or any origional Windows disc from 95 to ME) or it won't work.

BTW, I own a Mac too.

Yeah, but vniow, how often do you ask Windows questions here?

I don't, because I can usually answer them myself, but I have helped out a bit with other people who also use Windows on a regular basis if I can.

I've also seen a few Linux help questions (and even asked one!

) should those be a no-no too?

If someone wants to ask an alternate OS question, let them. Somebody may actually be kind enough to help them instead of telling them to switch to a Mac or whatever.

Well first off… I am a Mac user and I have been one for quite a while now… I asked this question because there are multi OS users out there like me!!!

For the record, I use my PowerBook w/ Jag everyday, so before you start flapping your gums recognize the truth!!

I holla!! :p :p

god man I'm a multiple OS person too (UNIX, Linux, Jaguar, Windows, Lindows [don't ask], my own concoction, etc.).

It's just weird when you go to macrumors or something to ask a WINDOWS question...why not the Windows newsgroups on microsoft.com? There must be someone who can answer your question...

why not? lindows isn't that great (i like to use win2k, jaguar and linux the most) but i still use it...and a lotta other operating systems as well.
