I found some great instructions on how to change the Windows partition icon, but I'm wondering if there is also a trick out there to change the label color?

I understand why I am unable to modify any part of the partition because of the read-only attribute but I thought there might be some trick like changing the icon.

could you please post the link to these instructions. in terms of being able to change the icon hightlight colour, i dont think you can...

Hi, here is what I did:

1) Use Mac OS X Disk Utility to format a USB stick as FAT32
2) In OS X finder, do Get Info on the usb stick and on the file with the icon I wanted to use for the boot camp partition
3) Copy the icon from the info window of the icon file and paste it to the info window of the usb stick
4) Boot in Windows
5) In Windows, copy the following two files (possibly hidden) from the usb stick to the root of the C drive:
.VolumeIcon.icns
._
_file
