My Mom asked my help because her windows XP PC will no longer recognize her iPhone 3GS or my Dad's 3G for Photo transfer. They show up in iTunes and everything works fine there, but they don't show up anywhere else. I tried all the usual ideas regarding windows settings and drivers, etc but no luck.
The wierd thing is that when I plug in MY iPhone (which I only sync to my Mac) everything works fine:confused: Windows recognizes it as new hardware found, it shows up in "my computer" and it asks what to do with the camera photos. However when I plug their phones back in, nothing happens.
We just updated to the latest firmware and latest iTunes and still nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance.

PS my iPhone is Jailbroken, mom-n-pop's aren't.

Well, since it recognizes your iPhone, it's not an iTunes issue. So, the standard fix here is to restore in DFU mode. Hopefully, they have backups.

Oh, and are you using the same cable and the same port? If so, do above. If not, try the same cable and USB port.
