I have spent the past few hours searching for good virtualization software to run Windows XP on my G5 Power Mac.
So far the only recommended ones I have found are Parallels and VMware Fusion, however they are both only compatible with the Intel processor.
It would be great to get some advice on G5 compatible programs?
Cheers :)

You need Microsoft Virtual PC 7. It runs Xp somewhat nicely. Just don't expect any amazing results.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for your help, got Virtual PC running, it isn't amazingly fast, but it does the job for using a few programs only available on Windows now and again.
:)

Obviously Virtual PC won't compete with Parallels on an intel cpu or anything; but it was pretty refined by the time it got to its final version, and running on the latest g5 macs it did ok for basic functions. People forget sometimes how well it actually did work in the end - amazing given what it was doing.

Glad you got it to work for you.
