Okay...so, I've had boot camp woes for a while. If I want to switch to windows from the mac side, I end up with the grey screen of death....and nothing. So I'd shut down, let it rest, and after about an hour (and a PRAM reset), my Macbook Pro (2.16 Ghz, 1 GB Ram, Merom) would come back to life.
About a few weeks ago, I figured out if I just reset the PMU, I wouldn't have to wait that long, that it would come right up and boot into Windows.....or mac. Depending on which side I wanted. Windows would work fine and it would boot fine back into Mac OS X. If i needed to go back to Windows (within a 30 minute window of time), I could. However, outside of that.....I'd have to reset the PMU again.
While is this a solution...it's getting annoying. I've installed Windows 3-4 times and the same results come up. I'm using the current drivers and everything is up to date. Any ideas of what's going on and why I can't just switch on the fly and what the ultimate solution is?
Thanks!
