Well I got a 15" Macbook Pro and first thing I wanted to do while it was fresh and had any music recording software on it was to partition the drive and throw Windows XP Home on it. Well I found out that SP1 will NOT work and even if you upgrade it to SP2 from a SP1 disc, it still will not work. I know you can do slip streaming (I have read a TON of threads here before posting this) but I'd rather just buy the disc with Windows XP Home or Pro SP2. Where is the best place to buy this disc? Apple doesn't have it and Best buy only has upgrades and Windows 7 Upgrade, etc. I do not like Vista so will NOT use it. Either that or can I use Vista disc and then buy the upgrade to Windows 7?

Another question I have is, if I have an old Windows XP disc laying around that isn't used anymore and I have the license and # for it from an old computer that no longer works, then is this legal to put onto the MBP?
Thanks a lot for any info and help here guys!
