I doubt you'd be able to as it requires hardware virtualization. Most (if not all) virtualization software packages don't support virtualization inside a virtualized environment and do not expose the required extensions.

Actually, it doesn't anymore. Windows XP mode used to require hardware virtualization (and still performs better with it), but now no longer does.

Still, running a VM within a VM sounds like a recipe for trouble.

I know VMWare had some instructions on mighating XP mode to vmware player. I wonder if you could move that to Fusion somehow...

Don't, it'll be too slow. It's better to do a triple boot native or install windows xp within parallels.
