I'm sure my questions are about as basic as they can get and thanks in advance.

Having used Mac for a number of years now, exclusively; I've recently acquired Windows 10pro and installed it using Boot Camp. The installation went very smooth and the partition appears to have taken well. I've kept the software up to date and I've also installed Mojave.

I have Mojave exactly the way I want it (security, personal settings, etc) and I have backups to TM. Mojave's running great.

I've never used VM-ware but if I recall correctly: Parallels, at one time, was considered 'the' vm software to acquire if you were running Windows.

Is that true today? Are there better choices? How does Windows10 in particular fare while using the software? Seamless w/Mac?

*caveat - know this, I'm a total noob on Windows of any flavor at this stage and will have to re-acquaint myself which means some heavy usage at times. (i.e., learning curve)

Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Both VMware and Parallels offer free trials. Download them both and see which one you prefer - because that's really what it boils down to. Both are great products.

I have both, VM ware 8, I can't install 10 because I have a Mac Pro 3,1 and something in the CPU isnt supported I guess. I also have parallels 13. Parallels is MUCH faster. But, this is the newer parallels so I can't speak for VMware 10.
