My system load is unusually high this AM (so says Activity Monitor), so I open up the term to get an idea of what's up.
top -ca -u shows that WindowServ is running at about 20% CPU (on a 1.3G PB17), but is throwing MANY faults. About 40,000 in 1.5 minutes.
Anyone got any suggestions on what's causing the faults, and how to fix it, short of rebooting?
PID COMMAND %CPU TIME FAULTS PAGEINS COW_FAULTS MSGS_SENT MSGS_RCVD BSDSYSCALL MACHSYSCALL CSWITCH
212 WindowServ 17.3% 0:27.48 61908 0 54 51977 32948 19493 157999 48013
(and, actually, 'top' is also throwing lot sof faults!)
