I downloaded Wine Bottler and am trying to open Ever17 with it. I double click it, it says "You are about to open a Wine file. What would you like to do with it?" I try to choose "Run directly in:" and it's this Sims 3 preferences prefix that I can't seem to change. I press "Go", and nothing happens. I tried making a new prefix but it doesn't work, when I do it always gets stuck at "Turn on coreaudio" and says it was trying to find something, returns status 1, then returns status 15. What am I doing wrong? This completely and totally confuses me >.=.<

Do you have other Wine software installed, or did you install it in the past? If so, odds are that WineBottler has detected your old, corrupted Wine prefixes and is offering to use them. That's all fine and dandy if the prefixes actually work. Since they don't, quit Wine.app if it's running, then find and delete the offending prefixes, then launch Wine again.

If that doesn't work, have you updated Wine.app to 1.2.2 yet?
