Hi,
I am a new to Apple world thus please don't be strict to me
.
I have some experience with such OS's as Windows and Linux. Here is my question:
Did anyone try to install WineHQ on OSX Leopard so far? Did you succeed if you tried?
The reason I ask that question is that I own several programs written originally for Windows and can easily use them with WineHQ under Linux. These days I am switching to OSX Leopard and was thinking to use the same soft there as well. The problem is that I don't have my own copy of Windows that could be installed in parallel via Boot Camp.
I would like to have Soft be running directly from OSX without any Windows system pre-installed. Leopard was announced to be compatible with most of Linux software.
Thus WineHQ totaly meets my requirements. The reason I don't want to buy CrossOver is that I came from Linux world - open source and free software
.
Thank you, Samvel.
