The annual Ig Nobel Prizes (not to be confused with the Swedish Nobel Prizes) celebrate the unusual, honor the imaginative, and spur people's interest in science, medicine, and technology.

Here are the 2004 winners, covering research and inventions that are at once silly and interesting.

Among the research and inventions honored:
"The Effect of Country Music on Suicide."
"Coordination Modes in the Multisegmental Dynamics of Hula Hooping."
"Sounds Produced by Herring Bubble Release."
Is it safe to eat food that's been dropped on the floor?
A patenting for the comb-over.
Preserving nudist history.
Outsourcing prayers to India.
The invention of Karoke.​

That study is like SOOO flawed. Bush and his Cowboy Gang are still alive and kicking and so are the majority of his voters. Bugger...

I find the American Nudist Research Library of Kissimmee, Florida, USA, for preserving nudist history so that everyone can see it; to be interesting. Clothes are optional and they keep the A/C in the 70's.
