Perhaps it's just because of how long I have been using Mac's but I have always used Stuffit Expander for expanding archived files, I have been using Stuffit without complaint since either 1993 or 94.

If you need to compress files too then I would buy Stuffit Deluxe.

The other programs posted by others may or may not be better but over a decade of reliability keeps me using Stuffit.

I don't think stuffit works on RAR files.

I always forget about stuffit. Good call.

Stuffit is great but I remember one of the biggest snafus. Either Stuffit 4 or 5 was shipped in a compressed file I think .sit. This was really fun when performing a fresh install of System 7 and you tried to install the latest Stuffit without an older version to unstuff it:eek:.
