Greetings,
I trust that this topic has been addressed or at least suggested before. I just need a summation!
I have a MBP with Mac OSX latest version + WinXP thru BootCamp. I am purchasing a USB/FW external drive for archiving, backup and extra space (I currently have my 160GB drive partitioned 50/50 between the two OSs).
RE: formatting the ext HD: is it feasible/technically possible to, say, also format it half/half MacOS native file format and Win NTFS (Note: my Win BootCamp partition is formated NTFS)? I know that Mac OS can format in FAT32, but not in NTFS.
If this is possible, what tools to use? Mac Disk Utility probaly formats only in FAR32. And I recall that FAT32 limits size of paritions to 32gbs (my new ext drive will be 300gb - I'd like to see it 1/2 Mac native file system, 1/2 Win NTFS.
Thanks for the info/reminder!
