Wipe iMac?

Hello,

I am using an iMac running Tiger.

Decided to pass the computer down to my Brother who will need it for school.

I'd like to re-formtat it before I give it to him, and return it to 'as new' with all of my info wiped.

What's the best way to do this?

Boot from your Tiger DVD's and do an erase and install. Boom, good to go.

Hi!

Hold down the C key, after you turned it on. This will do it.

yeh, once booted from the DVD, its fairly simple... erase and install should do it!

And once you're done with the reinstalling if you want to go that extra mile and give it to him exactly as you received it from Apple follow these steps.
