hi all. I have an iphone 3G 3.1.2 that is unlocked and jailbroken and working fine on T-Mobile. It's in mint condition but i want to sell it and upgrade.

My question is how do i wipe all the stuff i have on it (pictures, emails, bank info, app store log in, etc etc) so that the phone is completely wiped like it was new, doesnt have any of my personal info on it and also keep it unlocked and jailbroken?

I'm afraid to reset anything as i think it will either leave my stuff on there or it will relock the phone?

thanks!

(I should also point out my power button has just suddenly stopped workign as well :( ) i hope someone can help me.

Normally you could just download a 3.1.2 (I recommend 3.1.3) IPSW from internet and then shift + restore to it using iTunes. then re-jailbreak and re-unlock it.

You can get the IPSW here: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

And then you can use the Spirit jailbreak tool to jailbreak, and then run Ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock. Follow the guide below. The only thing you'll have to do on your own is go into Cydia and install Ultrasn0w since the guide doesn't show you, but that's simple and I'm assuming you know how to do that already.

LOl actually i bought the phone new and the seller unlocked and jail broke it for me. Thanks i will try and follow this.

Any work around the non-working power button though? this might be a deal breaker :(
