I just bought a 2007-era Core2Duo MacBook Pro -- My first Mac! I want to wipe it out + reinstall. I no longer have the restore discs. What is the best way to do this?

A) Try to buy the restore discs online? They seem expensive! Any ideas for a cheap source? OR

B) Buy the newest version of MacOS and install clean? Is this even possible? (I would prefer this option since I want to upgrade to latest MacOS anyway).

Sorry for the nub questions, I come from a Windows world.

Thanks!

You could also contact Apple about buying a replacement set of original disks. I believe they do this for a small charge.
