My applications folder and every single app on my MacBook has disappeared after I wiped and restored from a backup.
I backed up from my sisters old backup due to having not purchased lion (the laptop was updated through school)
I created a new admin account so I could get rid of all of her stuff but the applications folder and every single app (even system preferences and terminal) has gone missing in both admin accounts.
Applications has been checked to show in finder preferences, but there is no applications folder in the user home folder
Apps do open via an external hard drive, and I made a new applications folder that can be hidden through the finder preferences, but none of the apps have returned
nor can I find them through spotlight
App doesn't even look like a word anymore I'm sorry ahh
I'm running OS X 10.8 on a really old white MacBook
