Hi all. First time reaching out.

I wiped my Mid 2012 macbook Air. It has i7 and 256 SSD.

It has slowed drastically since most recent update to Catlina.

I backed up my files and erased the HD and did a time machine back up to Mojave.

My question is after the reinstall completes how long should i expect to remain on the Apple Logo Screen with full status bar underneath?

Its been that way over 1hr and 30.

Regards.

If you wanted Mojave, you should have done the following BEFORE wiping your machine:

Download Mojave
Install Mojave on an external drive
Boot from external drive
Copy over the Mojave dmg to your external
Wipe your 256 SSD and install Mojave

or just Recovery boot to install the latest Catalina and hope it fixes your problem
