Okay... this may be a silly question but I'm about to erase the hard drive on my early 2006 iMac Core Duo (recently bought a brand-new iMac) before sending it in to PowerON for an iTunes credit. I'm doing the complete wipe via my Snow Leopard install disc (an upgrade along the way over the original Lion OS). Here's my question: I don't need to delete my account or my wife's account or any other information seperately if I'm wiping the entire disc, correct? I'm assuming it all just gets written over. I'm selecting erase MacIntosh HD and the 7-pass secure erase (which I realize is probably overkill). I'm asking because I haven't had to do this on a Mac before.

Correct. Also, the 7-pass erase is pointless, as a single pass does a thorough job.
