Traveling The World
Hello,

I'm in the middle of wiping my PowerBook back to basics - I insert the first disc that comes with it, it does its part and ask to insert the next. I do...

However... Last night a blank DVD-R wouldn't recognise in the drive, and was just keep spinning without ejecting. Anyway that was fixed by someone giving me advice on this forum.

Anyway... I insert the Disc 2 - it just spins and spins before ejecting, and says that "Installtion has failed try again" before bringing up the "Insert Disc 2" box. I have reinsterted the disc. And it starts to install before brining up the failed message, then ejecting the disc and asking to insert Disc 2.
It is disc 2 i'm using.

What do I do now? it's in the middle of the installation.
HELP

Tried that after it first ejected.
I'm really really worried that my PowerBook is broken.:(
Any further suggestions?

<crying with relief>
I can hear the "welcome video" music - from the other room. It should be back to normal.

The last few days have been a nightmare with the drive. Either discs not be recognised, discs staying and spinning in the drive, or just ejecting.
Could the drive in my PowerBook be broken?
