Hey,

I have been looking for the right kind of wire to connect my mac to TV through, my mac model is a few years old here is the connections at the back of it, any ideas ???

Actually, it looks like a mini display port vs HDMI (I don't believe the iMac has ever come with HDMI, just the mac mini.)

A display port to HDMI adapter, and then a long HDMI cable would work. I use one from mono price. I remember some computers couldn't also output audio via the display port, so be sure you get an adapter that supports audio if you iMac supports it.
