I'm not sure if this in the right place but...

Hello,

The situation is that we often attend events, that have a wired internet. So we need to plug in ethernet cables, running all over the place...

I have a Belkin Wireless G Router... If i was to take it along, and plug that into the ethernetsockets, would it work?

Sorry for being abit vague..

Yes, plugging it into the WAN/Internet port on the router would work, but it may not be allowed at some events.

You do run the risk of Double NAT when you do this though. Using the router in "bridge" or "WAP" mode would alleviate this.

Definitely don't do this without the event sponsor's knowledge or OK.
