I have a Mac Mini M1. Everything seems to work fine, except one thing.

I have a wired USB keyboard (Asus ROG Strix Flare) attached to it. When I walk away from the desk for a few hours, the Mac Mini M1 goes to sleep. When I come back, tapping on any of the keys on the keyboard cannot wake up the Mac Mini. I have to unplug it and plug it back in.

Is the Mac Mini not supposed to wake up from a wired USB keyboard?

Thank you for your replies. :)

It might help if you include details about your Energy Savers settings, any troubleshooting steps you've taken, and whether it's the Mini itself or the display. If it's the display, what is it and how is it connected?

I have an older Apple numeric keyboard connected to the M1 and it does wake up. Though I usually click the magic mouse to wake up.
