wireless adapter possibly dead.

looks like my adapter to my pc is probably dead, as i've tried just about everything i can think of to get this thing back online and nothing has worked yet. windows detects the network, but refuses to connect. i'm hoping the thing isn't dead and is just suffering some setback. it's a b type router that i had for a few years now. it could be the death nail if this isn't connecting right. and if it's dead, what do you recommend for my windows desktop?

also, our main router has been suffering from a few problems and i think i may have to get a new router (airport extreme anyone?).

I'm tring to see why you are asking a mac forum for a Peecee part. First I would google around for wireless adaptors. That would be my first bet.
