heres the deal. i have a billion 741GE router/switch. this is fine for what i had. But now that i have my powerbook i want to go wireless.
i thought that APE (?...air port extreme) would be compatiable with any wireless access point/wireless ethernet bridge as long as they are 802.11B/G. However i read around the place that sometimes APE wont work with certain Wireless AP's/Bridges. is this true? can anyone recomend a good AP or bridge. what is the difference? does an AP normaly have more Ethernet ports or something?

i was looking at a some linksys ones or dlink, but really im open to any sugestions. i dont need a router though perhaps one or two more ethernet ports would be nice.

sorry about the mess. its hot and i havnt gone to bed in 2 days so i am begining to loose something. about .... coherentness

also: i want to connect the new wireless device to my current router. how hard will it be to get the wireless dev to pass info (DCHP and such... i dont want to have two things handing out IP's. i guess i can if i have to but preferably not.) on to my billion router.

the more i think about that the more i think it will be impossiable because

edit: i think i get what bridges are for now. maybe that would be best suited if i could run one in adhoc mode...

edit: DWL-2100AP http://www.scorptec.com.au/index.php?prdid=00011887 this looks good. kinda everything rolled into one.
