Ok - so I know PCi cards are straightforward to install... however i bought this from ebay recently and can't seem to get it to fit properly... the plastic at the end is stopping it from fitting in the slot

also - what's the cable for and where do i plug it in??

Really sorry if there is an obvious solution to this but thought it was better to ask than risk snapping something or breaking my G4 mdd

any advice would be much appreciated! :)

That picture depicts a PCIe card. PCIe is a different standard from the older PCI in your G4 MDD, and the first Mac to have it was the late 2005 Power Mac G5. It won't work.
