wireless card for NO wifi area ?

Wife is going where there is no wi-fi and I was curious ... Does anyone make a wireless card that will plug in say... the USB port on a MBP ? - i would guess it would be 3g or something like that

3G dongles are available, but I'mnot sure how good they are, Google them on Amazon....USB connected.

If your wife is going into a real dead spot though, they won't be worth buying.

Also you can buy them off ebay and, at least through verizon, pay for service for only the day/week/month with no contract. I think you can google coverage maps as well and see if there is coverage for where she will be.
