wireless carplay dropping calls since iOS 18.1

Since I upgraded to iOS 18.1 my calls randomly dropped and 18.2 is the same.
I tried resetting network settings and unpairing and paired the phone again.
Nothing improved it.. Anyone else have this issue?

No problems.

Try:
1. Remove the car from the phone (Settings > CarPlay)
2. Remove the phone from the car (steps vary, but it CAN be done)
3. Rename the phone (Settings > General > About > Name)
4. Re-add the phone to CarPlay
