Hi all,

I currently use an iPhone 6s Plus and I unplug my iPhone from the Lightning cable before it is fully charged, that charge cycle is incomplete and is damaging to the battery.

Will this happen for the iPhone X that I have ordered, whilst using wireless charging? If the iPhone falls off the charging plate, will a charge cycle be wasted? I presume so.

Thank you in advance!

To the OP who or what gave you the impression that unplugging your iPhone before it was fully charged was damaging the battery?

With the nickel-based batteries of the past, charging from ~0% to 100% and letting the device drain the battery towards 0% was the best way to preserve the device's battery lifespan.

That's true. With lithium batteries the greatest strain on the batteries is when they are fully charged or (especially) when they are fully discharged. If your battery is getting low you are actually (much) better off to charge it up a little then to let it fully discharge to the point your device shuts down.
