I have nice magnetic charging stand for my M4 iPad Pro and it stopped working after installing iPad os 26. Anyone else run into this? I’m not sure why the os would cause it to stop charging…

iPads, all models, do not have wireless charging capabilities.

The notes on amazon say it doesn’t work with Beta versions of OS…. May not even work with iOS26. Also deceptive description it’s not really “wireless” it uses the Magic Keyboard pins.
Yeah I guess by the true definition it's not wireless, but it's still a very nice accessory. I never figured it would be software dependent. Thought it was a hardware thing.

Using the smart connector or whatever it's called these days requires a handshake between the iPad and the accessory. I am guessing this handshake just ain't going to happen on beta software.

I, too, ran into the exact same issue with the exact same stand for my 12.9" M1 Pro when I installed the beta last week. I submitted a bug report via the Feedback app so hopefully Apple will fix this as it seems like a random thing to break via software.

And just to keep anyone in a similar boat informed...I updated to beta 4 today and it's still broken. Hopefully the next beta will fix it!
