Hi

I have an 11 Pro Max. I have a wireless charger in my office and a wireless charger at home. When I am at work and not using the phone, I place it on the charger. I also place it on the charger at bed time. It spends a high proportion of my day on the charger.

Could this harm the battery?

Thanks.

If that means the phone spends much of its time at 80+ % battery charge, yes, it causes additional wear on the battery's chemistry. Li-ion batteries' chemistry prefers moving between 20-80%.

Put it on charge whenever you like. You can enable the setting to preserve battery life in settings now since iOS 13.

if your thinking “I don’t want my watch to overcharge” then don’t worry. Lithium ion devices manage their charging and shut off power when full.

plus, chances are that you will replace your device long before your battery is toast. Even if you charge it while hot and try hard to damage it.
